Anytime I am at the Post Office or HEB or just about anywhere, there is a very good chance that I will walk out to my scooter to find an old man looking it over. They usually say about the same thing:
"I had one like this when I was young..."
or
"I have always loved these..."
or
"I bet you get good gas mileage."
Its funny, and I just love it. My favorite part is in parting. They always tell me to be careful "out there" and make sure I wear a helmet. Ahhh.... the love of Grandpa's.

Yes... Its been forever since I updated my blog.
I was rear ended on my old 150S. Luckily I wasn't seriously hurt. Just a few bumps and bruises, but my Scooter was toast.

Doesn't look like too much damage does it? Apparently that is all part of the frame. The scooter was worth about $3,000, a new frame runs $5,000. Time for an upgrade!
For a brief moment I entertained the idea of getting a Harley or a Can Am Spider, but Justin at Yamaha informed me that I was *a scooter chick*. So I hit the Vespa website and started looking around. The "S" had a new paint job for 2011. I thought it was kinda cool.

Bill said it looked like a candy cane. That pretty much ruined it for me. LOL.
Then I thought, if I'm going to get a new scooter, why not upgrade? MORE POWER!
I remembered a GTS 300 Super that they had at Yamaha. I knew I wanted a bright color. No cream or sea foam for me. I wanted to be seen. Not that the orange scooter did me any good... but still! No blending in!
Guess what Vespa calls their red. DRAGON RED. That pretty much sold me.
I'm going to try my damnedest to keep up this blog. I'll use it to gloat about my MPG if nothing else!
